On 02 October, Ian Carter (Università di Pavia) is invited in the seminar Analyses Normatives Contemporaines (ANCo) organised by the Centre de Recherche Sens, Ethique et Société (CERSES) (from 6.00 to 8.00 pm, University Paris Descartes, 45 rue des Saints-Pères, Room J522, Building Jacob, 5ème floor). The title of his presentation is “The Constitutive Value of Distributive Equality”.
The seminar Analyses Normatives Contemporaines (ANCo) gather contributions to research in social ethics coming from several fields and disciplines, mainly philosophy, economics, sociology, political sciences and law. Social ethics is understood as a normative dimension of social organisation.
Contributions deal with applied issues (public policy assessment, inequalities evolution, social relations) as well as more theoretical issues asked by the nature of foundations of social assessment (moral and political philosophy tools and normative economics tools being especially relevant here).
